The gremlin that bit us in Orange Beach has been fixed. And the band will be back together as Matt returns home in about two weeks.
Still weighing the pros and cons of going, but if we do the only feathers you'll see are our tail feathers.

Screaming Eagle, I can't belive you wouldn't go you'ld be giving up a few thousand dollars in year end mercury money and a shot at the national championship which would be more mercury money????? With the flat water domination you have shown , I can't understand not going. HELL if you WIN vegas and the championship you'll walk away with 12,250.00 in Prize and mercury money!!!!!!!! If you don't go you wan't get ANY of the year end Merc money.

Easy for you to say, Ryan. When you approach mandatory retirement age and your employer poofs your pension after reducing your salary by 50%, give me a call and tell me how it feels.
I like the Grattons' idea about the million dollar race boat website. How about this one: www.helpretiredfighterpilotsrace.com.
We'd have the pole in Vegas, a significant advantage. We enjoy seeing Randy in our rear view mirrors. Say, there are some real positives to going!

You are right I havent even thought about retirement. I'm 31 , been payin SS since I was 14 only to know that I'll probably never see a dime of it, and self employed so no pention to poof. I sure the hell wouldn't be boat racing if I was worried about my retirement! I sure hope you make it to Vegas .......and win!
