So is the JD Byrider now "legal" for SuperCat too? Or is it too short for the 750 and 850 programs still?

To answer your first question it is my understanding that JD Byrider is grandfather'd into the 750 Cat class and the lengths for the new 850 class is from 37ft 2in to 40ft.

As of now I believe Steve and my Dad are still going to be sponsored by Hooters Casino Hotel.

Not knowing much about the engines, why are the 850s more reliable than the 750s? Is it because they are blower motors?
