I does suck to get a bad start you really end up in the soup
In no way whatsoever can you make a comparison to a poker run in a race you must run on the edge in a poker run no one should be anywhere near the edge( that is what racing is for)
Larry wild ride #51
Thanks Larry just wondering what happened, might stop the same thing from going on next year.I say drop the flag a little further along or start 4 and 4 going from lap times.

I should have stayed on the left side of 19 and I knew it when I "snuck" around it. Not much good to sneak when you are directly under referree viewing/scoring position. Starts are adreneline pumping and usually you focus on whats ahead and in your pheriphial vission. Also it is common to get pushed over by someone who is slightly ahead and you tend to search for clean water so you won't get hosed too. Richie and Mike both did excellent jobs and I am sure they will both be on the podium soon if not in the next battle.

Great race Stan,Maybe 50' to cross over in the older days running Vs works. If I had my say how about changing to a longer distance on the start.Would 150' make that much differance?

Now that I'm not on OSO all that much, there are times when I miss it. Then I see a "drama queen" thread like this and remember why I cut back in the first place...

All sports are full of Monday morning quarterbacking and dissucssions about the game, but it does not mean you have to play for the NFL to understand the basic rules of the game. So why in offshore is it that everytime someone has a question they are reemed for not being a racer
