As per website

the following are events of the day for Jacksonville:

Tuesday July 3rd: Race Teams and Poker Run Boaters are welcomed to arrive early in the Dry Pits so they do not have to drive on the highways on the Fourth of July. This also facilitates their being able to spend the Fourth of July Holiday in Jacksonville and enjoy the Fireworks and Events.

Thursday July 5th: Race Teams will set up their Dry Pits displays and equipment as well as all Manufacturers and Vendors. Poker Run Boaters will be launched by APRC Cranes to tie up in the Metro Park Marina. Registration begins and the Race Control Operations Center will open. Media Centers will open for Racers Interviews and the Offshore Villages will open selling Tee Shirts, Hats and other souvenirs. The Offshore Oasis will also open for food and beverage sales. At six (6) pm a Meet The Racers Street Party will open at the Offshore Villages for the public to view the boats and talk with the race teams. A band will also play 80’s tunes.


Friday July 6th: Dry Pits open at 8:00am and “The Meet The Racers Party” begins. A drivers meeting will be held at 8:00am in the Dry pits. At 10:00am all Poker Run Boats and Race Boats that will run the “High Speed Kilo” will leave the Wet Pits and proceed to the Racecourse. High Speed Kilo Runs will start at 12:00am and will conclude at 3:00pm. A USCG Drug Boat Interdiction demonstration will be held for the public in front of the Villages Area at 11:00am.



Concurrent to the High Speed Kilo Runs event a Radio Controlled Boat Race ( Space Racers) for the kids and families will be held at the Pond adjacent to the park ,east side starting at 10:00am until 2:00pm. These RC Race Boats reach speeds in excess of 60 miles an hour and all is free to the public. All kids from 1 to 99 are welcome. Prizes will be given out to the TOP GUN. At 5:00pm a Prize Drawing for the “Meet The Racers Party” will be held in the Racers Villages. At 6:00pm a Bar B Q dinner will start at the Villages with live Country Music


Saturday July 7th: Dry Pits will open to the public at 8:00am and the “Meet The Racers Party” begins. Please see the website, (MTR) for details on this game. A Drivers Meeting will be held in the Dry Pits at 8:00am and boats will be launched for testing at 10:00am. Testing will be run at the course location until 1:00pm. A Naval Air Sea Rescue demonstration and other Military Demonstrations will be held from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

At 7:30pm a Race Boat Parade will be conducted downtown with Parade Marshals, VIP Cars, The Naval Band, The USCG Color Guard and other Military Units. All Race Boats will be in this Parade. At the termination of the parade a “Freedom America Celebration Party” will be held at the Jacksonville
Landing.


Sunday July 8th: Dry Pits will open to the public at 8:00am and a Drivers Meeting will be held until 9:00am. From 10:00am until 11:00am a “Memorial Service” will be held for the public and all Military Services to Honor those that are serving our country both in Afghanistan and Iraq.



At 12:00pm all Race Boats will be launched from the Dry Pits and proceed to the Race Course. A moment of silence and the National Anthem will be played by the Naval Band and the command to Racers Start Your Engines will be given at 1:00pm. The Freedom America Race will run until 5:00pm. At 7:00pm a Winners Banquet will be held for all at the Wyndham Hotel on the South Bank. Public Invited
