That little CORSA is enjoying her much deserved retirement. Several national and world championships as an A and F1 boat has entitled her to some casual go fasting in and around Tampa Bay. I will be up in Clearwater to watch and will try to be in Sarasota. I will stop by and say hello. Have a great '09!

Another way to increase the boat count, is to get some racers to forget the politics of the sport, and practice what they preach, "UNITED WE RACE". As Gary Nichols stated earlier, there are no hard feelings about the split between the 750/850 classes
I don't think that is the "split" they were referring to.
and I believe it was those same "politics" that created OSS while Mercuryracing had that big smile?
(just my opinion, I may be wrong).

BTW, i thought itt was APBA that brought all those boats years ago, wasn't it?

As a fan of offshore racing, I am terribly disapointed that the Orange Beach race has been canceled. I travel 1000 miles round trip for this race every year. I am lucky that I have friends that own a condo on the race course. When I come to visit for the race, I buy vip passes, eat and drink at area resturants and bars, and spend my hard earned money generously to stimulate the local economy. i know that I would gladly pay more for a vip package, sponsorship or what ever you want to call it. I know that times are hard, but people will still spend money on things that they really love to do. I hope that next year the races will be back and I will certainly buy a vip ticket or make a reasonable sponsorship donation.
Everyone be safe and I hope that Orange Beach will have offshore races again.
