RACE BOATS
Banana New Idea

Ok you want exciting racing for teams and fans try this.
F1 comes out as normal to race 60 miles the first boat to the turn has the best shot of winning and 1 hr. later the race is over with very little changes. Not over exciting unless you are in the boat.
Option 2 F1 comes out as normal and starts the same as we are doing except we only race 25 miles to the flag and pull in the center. The clock starts after the first place boat crosses the finish line. Each team has say 10 min. after that to make any changes they want to the boat. Move weight, change positions, change a prop if you think you can do it in time or just rest. Each team can have no outside help and must carry all tools and eq. with them. At 9 min. a short orange smoke appears and at exactly 10 min. the pace boat leaves and waits for NO ONE. Finish as always after another 25 miles and do the math to see who won.
Sound doable? Just a idea to REALLY make it fun for all. It gives you a second chance if minor set up needs to be changed or a minor problem needs fixing.Driving all the way to a race and have your hose clamp come lose sucks.

Kind of like a pit stop on the water.

Neat idea, doubt it will ever happen.

it's impossible to carry all that equipment with ya,you and glenn ducking wrenches and spare props as you launch from a wave,I could here Glenn now, randy, did that hurt, let me reach over and remove that prop from the back of your head.you would have to have some kinda portable dock system to have crews and such waiting in the middle, theoretically your only allo
wed 3% movable weights. How a bout we race 13 mile courses with ruff water and less turns so were not drag racing anymore, and get weights and motors the same , such as the 500 efi,and back to 22 boat starts!oh ya,thats the way it was....except for the weight issue!so I guess that wont work!I gues our problem is kinda to the point that, for the same reason when you go to a monster truck show, they dont race the trucks in a ruff hill climbing, mudd boggin course around the outside of the stadium, while all us fans sit inside and wait for the first three trucks to come rollin inside to tell us stories and get there trophies!and by the way,did yall know they all get paid a fee to show with there trucks,by what I understand, its enough to replace a motor,or half the truck if need be!

Um, Randy,
If you have a 60 mile race, and pit after 25 miles, and then race another 25 miles (50 miles so far)- I think some P5 boats are going to beat you!

Why not through in an inverted start after the first 25?
