...small Craft Advisory For All Waters Adjacent To The Keys...
This Hazardous Weather Outlook Is For The Florida Keys And Adjacent
Coastal Waters.
.day One...today And Tonight
A Large High Pressure System Over New England Will Move East Over
The Western North Atlantic Today And Tonight. A Wind Surge
Associated With An Old Front Being Pushed Southward By The High
Pressure System Moved Through The Keys Earlier This Morning...and
Has Resulted In Freshening Breezes And Building Seas. Strong
Northeast Breezes Will Prevail Across All Of The Florida Keys And
Adjoining Waters Today And Tonight. Sustained Northeast Winds Near
25 Knots Are Expected This Morning...with Gusts Near Gale Force In
And Near Numerous Showers. Seas Beyond The Reef Will Build To 6 To
10 Feet This Morning...with Higher Seas In The Gulf Stream. Seas In
The Gulf Of Mexico Will Build To 5 To 9 Feet...and Nearshore Waters
Will Be Very Rough. A Small Craft Advisory Is Thus In Effect.
.days Two Through Seven...thursday Through Tuesday
A Small Craft Advisory Will Likely Continue In Effect Through At
Least Thursday. Mainly East Winds 20 To 25 Knots Are Expected Early
Thursday...with A Gradual Slackening Of Breezes Thursday Afternoon
And Night. Seas Will Begin To Subside On Thursday...but Will Likely
Remain Above 6 Feet In Many Areas. Rough Nearshore Waters Early In
The Day Will Become Just Choppy By The End Of The Day.
No Hazardous Weather Is Expected Friday Through Most Of Saturday.
However...another Strong Continental High Pressure System Will Be
Organizing Over The Central United States During This Time. By
Saturday Night...we Believe That Breezes Will Be Freshening Once
Again...with Strong Northeast Breezes Looking Increasingly Likely
For At Least Sunday And Monday...and Possibly Beyond.
