Re: Canopy's are in!!!
I have been hearing that Lavey is coming out with a SVL for the last 2 years. What hull is Lavey going or did use? This months Powerboat has a 29 Lavey Nuera with (TWIN) 525's that run's 92.4 mph. Gonna have to do better than that......... Dave

Work began on the Lavey SVL a couple months ago. The boat uses the 2750 hull and the new deck mold incorporates a skater canopy. I know some of you saw pictures of the progress at Key West. The 2750 is the hull used for the F1 boat, a proven winner. Only time will tell if the boat will be ready to run this year as Lavey is busy rolling out a couple of new models, all work is focused on these boats as they are scheduled to debut at the LA Boat show Jan 29. After the show I'm sure they will jump back on the SVL.
As far as the article on the 29 Lavey with twins, I can't figure how you read a 4 page positive review on that boat and spin it as a negative. Dave, You're Gonna have to do better than that.........Brian

Re: Canopy's are in!!!
Does Skater sell a mold for canopy shell's? Do you think they have one to fit on a Krytonite?

Re: Canopy's are in!!!
Also for anyone interested in a new SVL I was at Bad Boys factory yesterday and he is also building a 32' SVL If interested call Tony on pricing. Looks like he will use the same canopy system as the 38' boat. I sat in the 38' yesterday and it has the best visibility out of all the boats hands down.

Re: Canopy's are in!!!
Faster - Relax......I'm not bashing Lavey in any way, shape, or form !!!! Their F1 is a strong runner. I simply stated that if they are using the 29 foot hull that does 92.4 mph with twin 525's and weighs in at 5200 lbs., that I don't see how they can get the speed up to mid 90's with a single 525 or Vortec which is where a few of the SVL's will be running this year. No bashing here. I like the look of the F1 Lavey. Geeeze.....Dave

Re: Canopy's are in!!!
As far as the safety requirements for the Bad Boy sre concerned there maybe a few minor changes to the next few built. I introduced Tony to George Linder in Key West and George gave his suggestions back to Tony after viewing the boat. Should be good to go.
