OUTERLIMITS OFFSHORE POWERBOATS WINS NMMA’S BEST BOAT DISPLAY
AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats was selected from thousands of exhibitors at the Miami International Boat show at the “Best Boat Display” by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the owner of the prestigious South Florida event.
Outerlimits chose to debut its new SV 43, a race boat designed to compete in the Powerboat P1 World Championship race circuit at the show and set about finding the most creative way to display it. “The entire service and production team pulled together to create a unique way of showing our new boat,” said Mike Fiore, owner and president of Outerlimits Powerboats, “We are very proud of this award as it shows the creativity of our company in using technology and know how. We have a unique way of looking at our business and always find a way to get things done.”
The custom-built aluminum structure used to support the carbon fiber hull was transported to the show by a flatbed truck, along with the boat and hoisted with a crane to create the 43’ tall display. “When anyone asked where we were located at the show, we’d just tell them to walk out of the Miami Beach Convention Center and look up!” laughed Fiore.
The boat owner, Giancarlo Cangiano, came from Naples, Italy to attend the Miami Show and to see his completed new race boat for the first time. “We look forward to regaining the Powerboat P1 World Championship in this boat!” he stated, “It is not just beautiful—it is strong and powerful and will be the key in our successful 2008 campaign!”
Outerlimits Powerboats also had a 46’ Limited and a 50’ Catamaran on display at the Convention Center and its new 41 Super Leggera in the water at Sea Isle Marina on Biscayne Bay. The 2008 Miami International Boat Show marks the company’s 15th year anniversary.
