The 55th Annual Los Angeles Boat Show was held March 17-20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where attendees were able to see the Team AMSOIL Skater race boat up close. The boat was set up for viewing in its titled position on the trailer, complete with a light positioned to illuminate the inside of the cockpit. AMSOIL products were showcased and Team hero cards were given out to race fans. The race boat display was complete with poster size versions of the hero cards near the boat and photo banners listing the Team’s achievements. Team T-shirts were also available for purchase.

AMSOIL dealers Andy Jones and Casey Jones, known as the “Oil Twins”, set up a separate display at the boat show with a variety of AMSOIL products and a near life size photo backdrop of the AMSOIL boat for all to see. Bob Teague was on hand to answer questions and greet race fans during the length of the boat show.

Teague Custom Marine’s booth was decorated with AMSOIL hero cards, banners with photos of the boat and checkered flags from some of the Team’s wins. The TCM family of engines was displayed, including the newest engine from Teague Custom Marine: The TCM 1365 QUAD EFI. This engine features a quad rotor 4.0 Liter Whipple Supercharger, and was displayed complete with Mercury transom assembly and Mercury dry-sump VISSM drive.

The Southern California Marine Association awarded Teague Custom Marine with a “Best Booth Display” honor for its distinctive boat show display.

Team AMSOIL captured virtually every title possible in the Cat Lite / Super Cat Class during the 2010 racing season. Team AMSOIL is also the holder of the OSS World Endurance record for Miami to Bimini and back, and captured the POPRA World Kilo Record in its class with an official average speed of 131.981mph. Since clutching the Super Cat World Championship title in Key West, Team AMSOIL has been preparing over the winter and is almost ready for the boat and support trailers to hit the road. The new race season begins with a Pacific Offshore race event in Lake Havasu, Arizona in conjunction with the Lake Havasu Boat Show, April 8-10.
