Default Bishop-Wisecarver Hires New VP of Manufacturing

Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, manufacturer of the original DualVeeŽ guide wheel and industry leader in guided motion technology, announced today its hire of Vice President of Manufacturing Aldo DeAmicis who comes to the company with more than 20 years of manufacturing and leadership experience.

DeAmicis joined Bishop-Wisecarver from his recent post at Tyco Electronics, where he worked as a plant manager and operations director. He began his career as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, worked his way through school and later rose through the upper-management ranks at various manufacturing corporations.

"I came to Bishop-Wisecarver because of the inventive spirit and entrepreneurial drive that the employees display," DeAmicis said. "I feel that they listen to the voice of the customer by providing innovative integrated motion solutions to meet their needs."

DeAmicis, a Canadian by birth, moved to the U.S. to pursue an education and career. He now holds a Masters in Law with a focus on intellectual property from the University of San Francisco School of Law, a Juris Doctorate in Law from Humphreys College Laurence Drivon School of Law, a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from National University in San Diego and a Bachelors of Science in electronic engineering at Thomas Edison State.

He is also a U.S. patent agent who drafted and filed patent applications, and sourced manufacturing for customers under tight deadlines and budgets. He used his G.I. Bill tuition to pay for law school because he saw having a legal background could be helpful as a manufacturing manager.

Bishop-Wisecarver President Pamela Kan said the company chose DeAmicis because of his varied experience and strong background in leadership.

"Aldo comes to us with an extensive background in operations, project and supply chain management and LEAN manufacturing," she said. "On top of that, he brings a unique and valuable set of educational qualifications to his job as a registered patent agent."

Kan said she looks forward to seeing his vision play out in the company.

"I am very excited at the new skill sets and expertise that Aldo will add to the Bishop-Wisecarver team," she said. "I look forward to seeing exciting changes and progress within our operational and production processes. Aldo's role is crucial to the success of our strategic plan as we continue to expand our products and services."
