Point Pleasant Race moved back to June 25th.

Hello Race Fans,

First we had the Point Pleasant Race scheduled for June 25th, but we had no purse. Then Jenkinsons stepped up with $12,000 but only if we moved the race to late August, so we took a vote amongst the racers and majority ruled. We moved the race to late August in favor of a purse. With half of it in hand, we felt we could raise the other half elsewhere.

Very recently, then the golden rule took over, which goes something like - He who has the Gold Rules. Entry John Haggin from AMF Offshore Racing. John really wants to bring all the AMF teams to run in Point Pleasant this summer and wouldn't be able to make the August date due to another race commitment. So John upped the ante and is putting up the full $25,000 purse as long as we move the race back to it's original date in June.

SO HERE'S THE OFFICIAL AND FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING POINT PLEASANT RACE DATES.

THE POINT PLEASANT RACE WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY JUNE 25th - NO FURTHER CHANGES WILL BE MADE.

As always, updates about this race will be forthcoming via email as the race gets closer.

Now, we need to build our volunteer base for this race as it's only one month away. If you would like to be a volunteer on the water or land, please go to http://njoffshore.homestead.com/volunteer.html and fill out the online volunteer form. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

Great Job,
Maybe we can get some of the OSS Boats to come out and play.That would be great and would also show that they appreciate what OPA and AMF and Crew have done and return the favor,come on guys make it happen.

Many would be probably just getting off the ship coming back from PR.

Professional Marine Racing is to be there, but they won't need to travel to get to the race site....

I don't know how I will make it back in time from Atlantic City myself, but I will try......

The ship is due back on the 22nd. If all goes well, everyone will be able to make the show. Just don't bust your stuff in PR...yeah right.

We'll be heading from the port in JAX strait to Jersey
If all goes well in Puerto Rico, we hope to Race both Turbines, the Apache,
the Warlock, and the Phantom in Point Pleasant
