Water should be typical Pacific Ocean FUN! 2'-4' with a 9 second swell with 2' wind waves on top of that in the afternoons!

July 7: Catalina Ski Club "Special Children's Day"

July 8: Noah Kalama Outrigger Sprint Regatta
Using traditional Polynesian Outrigger Canoes, teams from throughout Southern California will compete in a series of colorful, vibrant races from Belmont Pool to Granada Landing in a day highlighting by Polynesian culture. Event Contact: Billy Whitford, (949) 400-5250.


July 8: 57th Annual Long Beach/Catalina Island/Long Beach Ski Race
Now in its 57th year, this amazing event features the world’s best water skiers being towed by powerful, high-speed off-shore boats from Long Beach’s inner harbor to Avalon and return! The current record for the 52-mile course is 54 minutes! Event Contact: Randy Jarrell, (909) 463-3069.


July 9: Inaugural Long Beach/Catalina/Long Beach Jet Ski Race

July 9: 75th Anniversary Off-Shore Power Boat Race - Long Beach/Catalina Isthmus/Avalon/Long Beach
11am - Long Beach Harbor / Queen Mary Hotel

The inaugural 2006 Off-Shore Powerboat Race will run from Long Beach to the east end of Catalina, then down the leeward side of the island to the west end and return to a finish line off the Queen Mary stern. Event Contact: Kevin Cooper, (951) 273-9690.
