I'd like to see another big water race. But like rick said, we'll go anywhere!
It will be the fourth race in New Richmond, with the first one being a GLSCS race that drew over 45 boats, including SCL's Page, American Dream, Aggitator, and Pacemaker: SV Mic. Indian Gaming, Pier 57: and SC Hidden Agenda. So there certainly is room to race, and the town would love to have us, but we have to show up with boats. The last few races there had terrible turnouts, as did most APBA/SBI Local races. We would be willing to do the work if you guys wanted another race. I always say the more the merrier, but we do not want to dilute a great product, the OPA series, either. Any thoughts?

I don’t think they want us there, or the DNR or something had a problem with the racers in years past from what I recall reading in the local paper.

Port Huron would be killer! You could race under the bridge and right in front of the US than Canadian border than out into the BIG waters. That would be fun.

Plus the have a killer little casino and Full On 100% nude strip bars right over the Canadian border.

.
The town loves having us there, the DNR had a problem with us not wanting to have a permit to run some testing with the five boats that showed up a few years ago. We had to make a business decision, and they did not like it, but they did let it go in the end and lived with it.
