Louie, Speed runs work like this: We go out and set a record and you try to keep up!

So how do speed runs work with classes broken up by speed? It's not like a series that runs spec engines and such where the boat and setup defines who's fastest. Will the boats still have to run the "race setup" or can everyone setup for top speed ignoring where their boat normally runs? ( not that anyone's sandbagging or anything! ) But honestly there's probably people willing to spin higher rpms, more boost, etc. to take top honors.

Maybe make this an acceleration contest: zero to class speed.

The past 2 years we allowed the P class to run the mile and closed course. The mile was the closest to their bracket with out going over wins, check out these results from the past 2 years http://starsrescue.com/images/2006_C...te_Results.pdf

The closed course is based on a two lap average. Check out these results. http://starsrescue.com/images/2006_C...ts_To_Date.pdf

Hope this helps.

We would like to see if the Dukes can run over 70. Our spies in N.J. tell us it can run close to 90.What about a speed run Cris ,with the boost turned up and the chip on the floor?Crockett would go into production and build us a motor that will take our Joker boat over 70. we could switch engines for the race to keep the playing field level on race day.Grumpyg P. S. Thanks to the Star Boys for all you do.
