No if you go to KW it is the start of the SBI season so you pay your 08 fees, and are paid thru KW next year. You can be a national champion in OPA and never go to KW, but if you want to be the "World" champion you have to race at the "Worlds" in KW. Think about it like buying your way into the NFL playoffs

Someone please confirm that I understand correctly.
In order to race in the KW Worlds under SBI, you have to pay 2008 equip reg. and crew fees. But not 2007? Why would you not have to pay 2007 Reg fees to qualify?
