Does any body have or know where to get more info on the race, course, pits, hotels?

The five star Cambridge Hyatt is the wet pits, dry pits, and viewing area.

As for hotels the room availability is pretty scarce. I am trying to get the Hyatt to free up some more, but haven't heard back. There are other hotels in town, but I'm pretty sure they are booked. If you go on Hotels.com or expedia and search Cambridge they are listed there. Easton MD is about 15 miles down the highway and Salisbury is about 20 miles the other way, both of those have a fair amount of the usual hotels.

I was thinking of coming from smithpoint "down the bay" how late can we get there and still watch the races from our boat on saturday. thanks!

The USCG will begin to close the river no later than 11:00 AM. In some cases we allow passage into the spectator area until about 11:30 or so, but if things are not running smoothly we shut down earlier to get everyone in place and secure-that depends on your fellow spectators and some of them are sailboats, so you know how that goes
