St Claire or Harrison Race?
We can only make one of the races. Which do you think will have better viewing/pits and more boats, or will they pretty much be the same? Also where will be the best places to stay? Thanks

St Clair, but not by far. St Clair is the premier race for OPA and probably only second to Key West in the entire country. Next year with more time and planning, Harrison Twp with be right there with St Clair. You will not want to miss either.

St. Clair is great in that you can walk from the dry pits to wet pits to race course in a few blocks. It will be interesting to see how the pits look at Metro Beach for Harrison Twp. I will be at both - can't wait!

The Dry Pits for Harrison Twp will be at Metro Beach. We have 12 acres dedicated to us. The wet pits are at Beacon Cove along with the Offical Race Beer/Jim Beam tent. Both sites have excellent viewing, but only Beacon Cove will have alcohol. i wonder where everyone will be?

Ah yes, but St. Clair has an established track record of 14yrs not to mention this years entertainment to go along with the racing.
An yes its tru you can launch your boat 2 blocks away. Return the trailer to the pits then watch the race from you pit box ( as you are generally less than 100' from the river)
On the other hand Harrision is shaping up well I took a ride over that way this weeekend to survey the scene.
Dean, If you need anything for Harrison give me a call.
