Oh dont worry about that 
I hit the Erie Islands every year over that weekend and it has kicked up every year about that time, its a crap shoot really it can get ugly though. OPA people think Mentor type water that last year we ran there
Only thing is the geography might protect half the course and it could be evil on the north end, provided it is run where i think it would be. Marblehead and Catawaba protect that bay from prevailing NE winds that time of year but the cut between Put-in-Bay and Catwaba lets some nasty chit kick up right there
Its a great area

that weekend. The funniest part was Good old Rice Hauler doing a complete 360 around us in that rough water in his infamous Twin Step. Spent the Night at the Nor Easter club as guests of Rob. What a weekend that was!!Jr.

Got my A$$ handed to me by The Weather gods the last time we raced Mentor! I prayed and prayed all night and they answered me, ten minutes before the race started. A$$ kicking water up there. Schultz, you ain't doing no 80 if she kicks up, now go back to playing racer.
