Chris,
After testing on Saturday, Smitty asked the Class 6 teams if
we objected to Boomer running in Class 6. We all agreed it
was a good idea being his first race. I believe he is going to stay with us in 6, but they are going to change the engine to class 6 specs. I was a rough one and quite an introduction
to the sport. He did a great job out there, finished the race
in one piece and had a blast.

Thanks Jeff.

Congrats to Josh and Wooley in Lightning Jacks in P1 they got her dialed in good. You looked great out there (except that second time i had to see you guys ) We had our hands . . . or should i say hand full lol. See you in Harrison.

Also those crazy Extractor guys were running the rough stuff pretty good in the 'ol Superboat . Congrats to you guys as well.

Smitty and everyone at OPA thanks for another great weekend.

whats the specs for class 6 motor wise big block??, boat would be my baja 24ol with new bulkheads and extra support , hope to in mid season in 6 or 5 or 4 bepends on hull and motors to put together by aug my baja would be 6 or 5, new hull would be 5 or 4 if I use blower motor. I want to run this year since my comp is signing off next month so I could race in aug.

Rich,

Thanks for clearing up. I believe it is best to start at Class 6 to help get used to racing and then move up.

Chris- I think they bumped to class 6. It was boomers first race and anthony(which is his brother) wanted to get him familiar with the race. He took a 5th place in a real ocean race, his rookie race. DVD's will be available as soon as possible. All photos are posted on my website. Check out Latest Photo section. There are 2 parts to race 1 and 4 parts to race 2.

did you get the freeze frame newsletter for the official results last night??

500 horsepower limit. I would check with Smitty however,
so there are no surprises.
