Marty cannot do these events on his own his own dime.
I hope he can manage to get some sponsorship for the Atlantic City Race.
That is one race I don't anyone will want to miss !!!

Congrats to Great South Bay Racing and the OPA for managing to get all 3 races in and done. It was very challenging with the weather towards the end of the day and now it is raining so hard I can barely see across the street ...
I have some interesting shots to come.
Some that maybe magazines may want so I will need to check to see if I have to hold off posting them.
Mainly, Louie the Rigger having the seat break loose in the Kryptonite and being tossed to the back of the boat.
I have the entire sequence of him in the seat coming through the turn 2 then I have him in mid-flight with his foot up by the shoulder of his driver and the rest of his body about to hit the rear seat, hitting the seat and then coming to rest in the back of the boat. No one was hurt . Everyone was ok but it took them out of the race. Class 6 is some serious racing !!!

The only tricky part is having a background of spectator boats behind a turn boat and buoy. All another part of the challenge. Visibility was greater than a 3/4 of a mile at most times.
ALL the race boats had been lead past turn 2 not just once but twice by the Pace boats prior to the start of the race.
If some racers didn't plot their coordinates for the race and went by the numbers or followed their GPS, it is no one's fault but their own.
You have to be prepared coming out of a turn as if you will not be able to see the next turn. In many cases back in the day, you couldn't see the turn boats from point to point and you needed to NAVIGATE your way there.
Hopefully this will be a wake up call for when Atlantic City race comes, because if the seas are big, you won't see the pillows in the ground swells and you will need to navigate your way to them.
The boats that missed the turn played follow the leader, in this case the leader was Miss Geico.
A bunch of boats did this on 1 lap and the 3 boats out of that pack that made turn 2 were AMSOIL, Cleveland Construction and Infinity... Great job on those team's part for doing it right ...
