Orange Beach Racer Packet is here.
Welcome All OPA Racers and Fans,
Get ready for the most exciting power boat races you have ever seen. Now that the oil is gone and the water is clear to race, Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA) is bringing their own world championship races for the first time and expects it to be one of the biggest events of the year. This event will be nationally televised and we will see who the world power boat champions will be. OPA is inviting anyone that raced this year in any organization to come race without any race entry or registration fees. You will need to produce a 2010 badge from that organization that you raced with in order to gain free entry. All information regarding this race can be found at
Thunder on the Gulf. Some notes to the racers are that there is quite a distance between the wet and dry pits and therefore you might want to make sure you have your necessary transportation. There is a helmet law in Orange Beach for scooters. Also there is no drinking in Alabama State Parks which is where the dry pits are located. Most hotels are full at this point due to the Bon Jovi and Brad Paisley concerts scheduled during the race weekend. Attached you will find the racer packet for Orange Beach, Alabama. For any information pertaining to OPA you can visit their website at OPA Racing. Hope to see everyone there! Regards, OPA Racing.
