Good question Randy. I wondered the same thing when we ran the 30 AMT in C2. It was very hard on the equipment and we stood little chance of winning but the boat ran 108 in race trim so we ran C2.
I wondered why other Stock Boats would run in C3. I assumed it was to preserve the equipment but that didn't make sense since I assumed they would run all out in Stock Class so it must have been because they wanted a trophy more than a good race.

Could you imagine if we all had I pods blasting our favorite songs in our helmets???? Lifting would not be a option!

Is it just me? What would be better than a Saturday cannon ball run for 3 laps,no classes, no rules just run as hard as you can for 3 laps. What better testing could there be? Sat. for me is just making sure it starts and getting on the water for a little tease. If you are using it for set up you are already fu$ked. Its to late!!! Be ready before you get to the race not at it. If you are going to break testing you might as well be testing against your competition. Really what are you learning running by yourself? Top end speed? That means $hit compared to excelaration and attitude of your boat at speed against your compation.
