I spoke to Smitty this afternoon. He is shooting for a 650 HP limit this year, 2012. Enforcement hinges on aquisition of of the prop dyno that will be used in conjuction with the SVL boys.

My 2 cents is regardless, we should make a gentleman's agreement to stick to 650 HP.

What is the issue with 650 or less? If the boat is going to have a monitored GPS in it, what difference does it make as to the HP? It would all come down to propping correctly, not to mention most 20-26 ft boats will run 70 with less hp then that. Not trying to start anything, just curious as to that thought.

Thanks
John jr

I hear you Rick, but the reality is , short of a couple of boats, everyone is at 650 or more already.
