I agree with a lot that, although I still hold my opinion that a 41 Apache full race boat will always be a Class 3 boat. (Lets not do this again...)
I completely agree about building boats for class, and not the other way around.
We built the Krypto for C5.
Built the Cobra for C4, where it fits perfectly.
In my eyes, C4 is a great spot for X F2 and B Class boats.
Would you be using bravos or #6s?
A 41 foot full stagger boat with 6s isnt a class 4 boat in my eyes....

If I was able that Velocity would be mine...........but better stick to my more realistic possiblity of getting the Corsa done for some Class 6 action.

So far most of the class has expressed interest in a under 40 foot rule for Class 4. We will continue working towards that, I will keep everyone informed on the outcome. Still 2 or 3 teams who haven't responded, although the majority is for it nevertheless.

A few teams would like a bravo style drive only rule too, which makes sense with our unlimited power rule but outlaws a lot of the old B Boats unless they converted, which is a down side.

Stay Tuned!

The 41 Velocity being discussed ran 98-99 mph all day with Merc600sc that made 630 hp. The boat is titled as a 39ft boat so technically its under the 40ft Mark. The boat was rigged with 6's. Full stagger. It just left buffalo 2 weeks ago and is now in hammonton NJ. Can be bought pretty right just bring cash lol. Paul has speedmaster#5 stuff to rerigg the boat. The fountain executioner is still sitting up here. Not taken apart yet. Another cool boat!!! Both great boats for all u guys down there!!!

This is the first CGS ferocious. The older brother to the 39 painted the same way with 525's and bravos.

Title and actual length are different stories. We re-rigged the 39, its a different boat than the 41. It isnt just an added swim platform or something.
Most people in the class feel that a full stagger 41 Velocity is an excellent Class 3 boat. As it would be, especially running those speeds with that little power. A set of 650 VERY reliable 540s could be built for dirt cheap, with number 5s that would be a bullet proof 100+ boat. Perfect for Class 3.

we have a pleasure 41 sitting in the field at the shop too. hull looks the same til you get to the transom. the CGS 41 is the only square back 41 ever built. all the other 41's had a platform integrated which gave them a few extra feet.

word on the streets is a race might be coming to buffalo next summer??

im sure it is vs the newer 39 thats in your neck of the woods. it would be neat tho to see both boats racing eachother. they were both built and raced by the same guy back in the day.

who is gonna come grab the everglades executioner?
