42 vs 39
I have a 04 tiger, and I am looking at going to the new 39, is this a mistake, should I be looking at OL 42. We run at LOTO and Lake MI alot. Is the 8500 lbs hull of the 39 going to beat me up compared to my 42 tiger. Any input on the ride or handling of the OL 39 and 42 would be great.....

I have run on both, there is no question the 39 will give a more agressive ride, but it will not beat you up. The 39 is one of the most aggile boats available. It is a fun ride with good input from the hull to the driver.
Once you get used to the epoxy lay-up on both boats you will appreciate how nice they both ride. I don't think you can make a bad decision with either of the two models.
A customer ran his 39 at 1000 islands and at SMOKE and was running with the pack with no complaints from the 5 other people on board. He was running over 100 w. ilmor v-10's.

Re: 42 vs 39
we just got back from the scope run! The 39 ran great through the rough stuff and no complaints from the 5 on board. I have both in stock for sale. If money is no issue go to the 42 with 6's and big power. if it is go 39 with ilmor's or 525's. You will be happy with either one!

JC,
I own the 39 with Ilmors that is referred to on this thread. The boat has run as fast as 105.5 on GPS. It likes rough water better than running when it's calm. The boat likes some plate in the water. With a little tab in I have run it at 102mph with a full load. Also these motors are less thirsty than Merc 600s.
