MARINA GAGNON AND DOUBLE R PERFORMANCE EXPAND CANADIAN TERRITORY FOR OUTERLIMITS POWERBOATS
The Outerlimits Powerboat network in Canada continues to expand as Marina Gagnon, its full-service marina and exclusive dealer and distributor in Canada, located in Quebec, creates an alliance with Double R Performance, another high-performance marine facility in Ontario.
The announcement of the new partnership, which was initiated because both facilities value the Outerlimits brand, will be announced at Double R Performance’s Poker Run, June 6 in Orillia, Ontario. The event, “The Priestly Demolition Rescue Run, Presented by Flat Fee Realty” is a fund raiser for Jonny, the 6-year old son of Howard Murray, a Performance Boat Club of Canada member, and owner of Firestorm Turbines. Jonny was diagnosed last year with an inoperable brain tumor but his family and fellow Performance Boat Club members hope that some recent breakthroughs may help his condition. The event is the Canadian season kick-off and both companies look forward to meeting and sharing the news of their provinces and companies joining forces.
“Canada is a big country and we have differences—sometimes language is an issue, whether the customer speaks English or French” commented Dale Thomas, Sales and PR Director for Marina Gagnon. “We all have relationships with our customers and after buying a boat, often people would like to continue the relationship with the local service facility. Since both Marina Gagnon and Double R Performance are bi-lingual and share high-quality standards, we think our alliance will bridge the distance between our facilities and make things easier for the customer.”
Peter Roberts agreed, “We wanted to bring Outerlimits in as a new product for Double R and when I attended Marina Gagnon’s recent Open House, we worked our an arrangement to be an associate dealer for them here in Ontario.” The arrangement, orchestrated by Chip Fendt, Outerlimits’ Global Sales, facilitates the purchase of an Outerlimits Powerboat for our customers and since they are our main focus, we want to extend from the purchase to excellent service as well.”
Marina Gagnon will bring some new Outerlimits models to the Poker Run for show and sale, including a 39’ Quattro and a 42’ Legacy, both with twin Mercury Racing 700’s and a 46’ Limited with twin 1075 SCi’s. The latter was debuted at the Miami Boat Show and sports an unusual paint scheme by The Art of Design, the exclusive designer for all Outerlimits Powerboats. The company plans to run Denis Trubiano’s personal 42’ Legacy with Mercury Racing 850’s. Approximately 30 boats are expected.
“Outerlimits is a high-end product and it requires high-end distribution and service,” states Thomas, “Marina Gagnon and Double R Performance both offer those.”
