Default Set up help! 37 OL

Last year I got the new to me boat and here were the results I saw before I had a major melt down. Running 34p bravo 1 props w bmax drives 1.26 ratio and imco lower. Best I saw was 5050 Rpm and 97 gps. It was dead flat water 3/4 tank of fuel and 5 people. If you calculate that w the Bamm slip calculator its 25%. Engines were about 925 hp ea.

Had a valve go and was down as of June 25th. Engines are getting rebuilt and Im going w about 725 hp per side. Where should I start w props? I was thinking of trying a 30p 5 blade and maybe even 28's. I want to get the slip numbers down into the teens and still need to talk to the builder as to max rpms I should be lookin for but wanna hear some thoughts.

Your initial setup seems like it was out of whack to begin with. I'd guess a 24p-26p for a starting point.

Are you sure its a 1.26? All the Bmax's ive owned were 1.3. Not saying they dont make a 1.26, just have not seen one.

You need to change gear ratio. Way to much slip. Try and borrow props and recalculate slip. Maybe drives to high or over trimmed. Try larger diameter.
