Do away with the 24 & 28 and update by introducing a 26' x 7'8"+ single with 525+ and a 30' x 8' twin 496/525+...What do you think?

Our Pantera 28' has an 8 foot beam and is as big as most 32' footers in today's market and we have delivered plenty with twin 496 HO , twin 500 EFI's , and twin 525 EFI's that is running close to 100 MPH in the last couple of years.
Our Pantera 24' is still very popular today and has been since My Parents started the company over 30 years ago.It still wins on the race circuit today as it did 30 years ago. Proven boat !!!

There is a big change coming to the Pantera 28' single engine model in the coming months.

Regards,

JO

I wouldn't ever think about abandoning such successful models as the 24 and 28. I'm pretty sure that Pantera is doing some updating to the hull that will make the 28 easier get big speed numbers out of (lighter layups, steps, etc.). Rolling out something like the 35/36 Survivor was, I'm sure, a huge undertaking. I think the term "lightweight wave crusher" is an oxymoron...

Keep up the good work Pantera!

Thanks.

Remember before the mid 1990s mostly all Pantera 28s were powered by twin big blocks.

There has also been many powered with twin and triple outboards, and quite a few even with twin small blocks over the years.

Remember we also powered the first boat ever with a single engine Dodge Viper motor back in early 2002.

They all run awesome out in the ocean just need to trim and tab them a bit different.

Here are a few pics. of a couple of recent Pantera 28's powered with twin small blocks and big blocks.

There is no reason to ever get rid of the 24/7 hull. I own a 28 Cigarette now but the truth is I'd rather own a 24 Pantera

Hey Jo when you & your father do away with those old molds you know you can always bring them up here to TN & I will store them for you. As you know I would take good care of them for you ! Ha Ha
If the latest models & frilly things are your bag then Pantera is probably not for you , However if tried & true hardcore offshore is then you got the right boat company !

I am in no way trying to be offensive to anybody , just telling the truth. Later Guys , Scott

Jo, have you ever put together a 28 with 300 Promax's? or even 300X's? Seems like a 28 even with the new 300XS would be a good running boat.

(I also am sending you a pm, on another subject. )

I too could have gone with all the newer type hulls, but as littledcsrodshop said tried and proven hulls are my bag! I love the classic lines and if it means giving up some speed for rough water handling I'm there. I was out in some pretty big water and this is by far the BEST 28 ft boat I've ever been in. I've been in a couple of 28 Cigs and one 28 Apache and they don't even come close in my opinion. I've been in some Baja's and Sonics and I went with a Pantera cause of all the hype and had never even ridden in one and I'm telling you it's turning out to be a killer ride!

Again it's not the fastest and not the most current design, but it is a awesome riding boat and it loves the snotty stuff I'm impressed every time I take it out and all the compliments don't hurt either
