Would love to see it again.
( We miss that boat - hoping the new checkmate will be as enjoyable once the engine gets running right and we can see how it handles some fun waves in the big lake! )

Hey - I think that's my old boat, unless there is another in the area with the same color scheme? Owned it from about 1988 until 2009 when time, money, and fitting the wife, 4 kids, and a dog on the boat just didn't work. If its the same boat, it had matching color scheme bolsters and swim pad upholstery. I assume those got updated, and the green pantera eyes were added?
Would love to see it again.

It was built as a race layup with no cabin, no cabin or cockpit liner. 1 piece dash and lowered floor (only 85 gallon tank not the standard 120s of the era). I added a remote fill ballast tank in the boat. Also converted to a suspension sit down seating configuration with a floating throttle pod.
Redundant fuel and ignition systems and a bunch of other trinkets. We are still dialing it in trying to find the perfect CG of the boat and playing with some drive heights and buttoning up some things but there's no data like actual racing so we are just jumping in head first. It's being campaigned strictly as A purpose built raceboat as I have a pleasure boat to run when I want to play around.
