One thing Dude is holding back on is my trip in the bilge.
When we lost pwr, I was eager to help out. I jumped in and
started checking connections and bla, bla, bla.
We'll,.... turning upside down on my head and rocking back and forth didn't sit right with me after a few minutes.
I can out of that bilge a changed man
I had to fight off the sick feeling for quite a while. Never puked but wish I could have.

Sean felt bad for me but I just had to tuff it out.
Ask him about the Sea gul we plastered when we wre smokin accross the water....one in a million
it was just before we caught some nice air off a roller. The ocean definately beats the lake.
Too much fun seeing a roller comming up and your doing 50-60mph. You get very excited knowing your fixing to catch big air.

after being upside down in the bilge, those rollers aren't as much fun as they were beforehand.
So, let's hear the rest of the story??
Sea-gul's were involved??

It's funny, I keep forgetting about that seagull. There were actually a whole big load of birds congregated in one spot and I decided that I'd be better off going around than through. Tom got a kick out of it when I told him why... I wasn't worried about bird strikes.

A few years back, a SCOPE guy hit a whale! It killed the whale and tore the drives off the boat. And I think the guy got fined for killing the whale. I was concerned that the birds could have been picking at a dead whale and figured I'd go around. There's all nature of crazy things floating in the ocean.

It's the People's Republic of Kalifornia, comrade, and it's always something...

If people have never been outside of whatever distance is considered coastal waters, you would be surprised what ends up out in the ocean. When I was in the MC, we went on a 6 month Mediterranian "cruise". I didn't understand why we seperated the plastic from the rest of the trash until one day I went out on deck for a run and saw the two lines of trash trailing behind the boat...

PS don't tell the Kalifornians

Ha! I was going to say, sounds like the harbor in Long Beach after a good rain!

Garbage aint bad (from a boat impact perspective anyhow)... The thing that spooks me is the stories I've heard about semi-submerged shipping containers that are supposedly floating around... Waaaaaa-BOOM!! And now you're swimmin'! No thanks!

Sean the boat sounds really good ! What mufflers are you running ? They look like they are clamp ons & is your exhaust dry untill the end , or does it dump water before the tips ? My tails are completly jacketed (dry) until the Very tip & I am sure I will end up with some sort of clamp on muffler
