No it didn't, I think that shot it just on the East side of Grosse Ile, he's right on my home turf. He had it shined up nice that day.

My 24' should have a bit less than 750 soon.
Hopefully in the 700 range

I'm in the process of deciding exactly what to do for power for mine. I've been talking with my machinist about building a 540 around a dart block. Thinking 650hp or so.

Some times I think a nice, mild, 502/500ish hp mill would be more than enough but, then again, a badass 540 is tempting.

I ran a 750hp blower motor and the boat ran great, very stable and handled big water! (Lake Erie)

Think about short extension to move engine forward 12-18 inches...
Propped and throttled right with OLD stiff h41 helm and good rams, regular size merc/kiek tabs, this will handle as good as 28-30'!!
Jo can move the bulkhead forward if yours is standard deck cap.
It will be awesome, trust me, look at some pix on his site of "M-24"
