Oh come on now.

The trailer is worth atleast $1,000
The drives and transom assemblies $2000
Hatch is worth atleast $1,000
Motors are worth $3,000 with exhaust
Throttles are worth $3-400
Hull is worth something......atleast $2-3,000

Its not junk. I would send it to pantera to look/fix any rot, if any, then sell the hatch and have them move the bulkhead back to open up the cockpit for OB conversion. Then sell the motors, drives, and transom assemblies. Slap on a pair of used 200's or 250 OB's. You'll have yourself a nice 28 twin OB with new transom for $20K and it will sell for that easy. Can be done for much less if you can do glass work yourself. Its a worthy project, not junk by any means. I've seen a 41 apache resurected after sitting on the ocean floor for a month.

You haven't seen the boat apparently. I'm not saying it can't be repaired, anything can, but it def isn't worth half of the price that he is asking. The trailer has 4 mis-matched wheels/tires, has been painted with a brush, is bent up in several places, has no title, and has a goofy home-made hitch on it. The motors are rusty 330hp 454's. They are a dime a dozen in good condition, let alone unknown internal condition. The hatch is a project on its own to make it usable. I'm not afraid of project, in fact I was looking for one at the time, but that thing is a fish pond.

You don't say, a trailer without a title..........whoever heard of such a thing.

A dime a dozen? The 454 short blocks alone are worth $1,000, then there is the nice oil pan and exhaust manifolds worth close to $2,500.

Those trailer axles aren't cheap either. Between those and the scrap yard you should get alteast $500 for the trailer.

How many projects have you done wfo1?

Hell after last winter I saw 330/454 with cracked blocks (freeze damage) sell for 800-1000!! in the central Texas area.
How many people pay 150-20k for a running boat then discover it needs a transom or stringer work..
Will here is a complete boat for under 9k that needs some work.
How much is a totally bare 28 hull in perfect shape?
10k?
after you sell the parts youll have a hull for half that, then you have 5k to fix it and redo it your way.......
Then again if you can find one cheaper go for it!

you consider that thing "some work"? maybe having to recover a seat or buff some gel or recover some bunks on a trailer in my opinion would be "some work"

so show me a twin engine 28 that "just needs gel buffed" for under 9k,especially one with a name like a Pantera?
It is what it is, a cheap way to get into a boat that would normally sell for three times as much for someone with time and talent but not much money at the moment

Ya come on someone buy this and post how much time and money you have in it....I'm guessing you won't be happy with the final out come. I have seen and been in the boat personally with Wfo and drove 14 hrs to see it..its not worth 8900..no where close to it...its all old rusted busted crap on the boat...motors rusted..planes busted..transom assembly's eatten away at..its just not worth it...if ya haven't seen the boat in person ya really have no leg to stand on in a arguement..and if ya do have a leg to stand on and ya stood in that boat it would more then likely go through the bottom of the hull...
