Anyone ever see a 24 with twin small blocks !!!

I was looking at the banana Boat threads saw they had a race boat with twin small blocks in it... I guess it ran pretty strong and handled awesome!

The 24 Banana boat and Cigarette 24 are the same hull, which is a 8ft beam. The Pantera 24 is a 7ft beam I believe.

Yes bananna has an extra foot.
Seems like the banana would be very a$$ heavy imo, but member biggus claims otherwise.
Looks so damn tight & that hatch is bogus

The 1979 Pantera price schedule lists a 24 Special Edition available with twin 470's...

and here's the brochure boat...

Dj, that pricing seems a bit outta wack.
$1190 for the upgrade from Volvo 280 to merc 330.
Then another $2000 to go to twin 470s?

It's $3600 to go from a single to twin OB.

Btw, never heard from u about that NH 24.

Hey I didn't write the price schedule... but its amazing to see what they went for back then.

The NH boat... i'll call you, PM me whens the best time to call you... I've been super busy the last few days at my job... There is a super nice 1980 Pantera 24 Sport in the OSO classifieds for the same price...

Not sure if y'all realize this, the Merc 470 is a 4 cylinder, so of course you could fit twins in a 24.

My Bad... I forgot they were 4 bangers... But they were aluminum block 4 cylinders, weren't they? I believe they were a Merc block design with a ford 460 iron head.
