The only thing that I couldn't find that was "original" were the stanchion top caps where the cable feeds through. Other than that, all the holes on the mounts lined up perfectly.

Here's a pic of how it turned out. As I recall it cost in the neighborhood of $250 2 years ago. From your picture it looks like you have three stanchions so you'll be a little more. Good luck.
Perfect! Looks like I can get it done right there.
Your boat looks beautiful.

I have the complete lifeline since I rebuilt my 1979 24 Pantera to a race boat. But it's in Sweden... And the front bracket is broken but still there.

Well I think that's a little far off to ship. Definitely keep it though incase someone needs an original. I wish I could find an original close to me.

I have the "Lifeline" on my 79' Pantera Sport.
Have seen them on Cigarettes, Magnums, Panteras, Martinis and a few others.

Pretty sure that the line is there as a safety device for whenever you are walking on the slippery bow.
Something to hold on to prevent a fall in the water.

Seems like most take them off . . . I love the nostalgia look.

Can you take some detailed photos of your factory lifeline?

I have the original lifeline for my 1980 24' Pantera.
The original cable was vinyl coated white. I bought new cable in bare stainless.
I currently have the hardware off the boat, but if you want measurements for stanchion placement, I'd be willing to do that over the weekend.
You should be able to find all the parts you need on a site that deals in blow boat parts.
I can't post pics anymore, but do a search in the Pantera section for WIP thread, and you'll see everything on my boat.
I've had some life events that put my project on hold, but it's not forgotten - just tucked safely in the garage until I'm ready.

Honestly, the tall lifeline is one of the reasons I bought the boat. I love the look!
PM me if you want more info, or if I can help in any way.
