The COLREGS stipulate Rule 21(b) Sidelights: Sidelights are red (port side) and green (starboard side) lights than shine in an arc of 112.5 degrees from straight ahead to a point 22.5 degrees abaft the beam. You may get a Puddle Pirate Auxiliary with a hair up his ass to take a closer look at night but as you say you don't intend to run in lowlight or dark I wouldn't be too concerned either. Project is amazing. Keep up the pics!

Well we made it near the end of the year and time is at a premium, I did however carve out a couple hours today to work on the boat. Finished the rub rail cleaned up the drain plug and organized exhaust parts. Tomorrow morning I'm going to West Marine for a few fasteners then seal and install exhaust, drain plug and a plug in the water pick-up. Hopefully get a chance to throw in trans oil, hyd steering oil, gas and its ready to fire. I'll update tomorrow with progress.

Here is the weekend update!!!!!! Drain plug and the old flush plug (POS) are in, exhaust on, exhaust trim rings on, remaining water lines on, oil filter adapter on, trans. oil in, steering hyd oil in. Then I towed it to gas up, threw 10 gallons in and came back to power up the fuel system and check for leaks... all good, picked up fuel and no leaks. On the hose it went, engine guy said my current flush configuration would not work and as he has been the entire build.... was correct, I'll leave that for later this week to find a solution. Anyhow I said "well the moment of truth" hit the key and it didn't even make one revolution BAM fired right up! Let it run for about a minute 'cause I didn't want it to run too long in case it wasn't getting enough cooling water.

Thank you, it has been super fun and I like to think I learned some cool stuff along the way. Almost done, I think a 30-35 footer would be nice ;o)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDdFWReaRsw Sound is a little wonky, my phone doesn't take to kindly to loud recording situations.

Thanks guys. Worked on the flush kit today so I could feel comfortable letting it run on the hose. Fires up at the touch of the key and I worked on getting the hyd steering system lined out, ran out of oil before I got too far, grabbed more tonight so I'll get back at it later this week. Video still sounds like it has a popping sound but it's just the cameras microphone.
