Default #6 Drive

Has anyone put a #6 drive on a single engine 28. I found a good price on a complete set up. I will be putting it behind a 900sc.
Thanks,
Kris

There have been afew with 3s and 3As, i know of 3 that were done with 4s and 5s (some say they were 4s some
Said 5 they both had the big shaft lowers so I'm gonna call them 5s) but no one has rigged any with a 6 I don't believe. With the transmission and the blower you're going to be very close to the bulkhead with the pulley. Cut a port hole in to change the belt or pulley!

If a 28 can handle twins I'm sure it will do fine with the weight of a six setup

I think I read on here sometime ago about a Checkmate ordered from the factory with a single number 6 hanging off the back? There was a thread on here with a picture of it. I believe his name was Check300 on here.

Don't forget about the setup that Kirt ( I believe that's his name) had on his. Gangster pwr with a konrad and trans. That is the build that spooked me from a trans and #6 and I decided to go SCX and keep the prop in the same location. Search it up.

yes can put on 6 and do the r&d to get set up to work
but like above scx ,,,extreme theres cases that will handle way above the hp ur wanting to use
and with a single 28 want everything light as possible for performance
and when airborne over rollers cg is better with single set up right than twins on a 28
but when add the tranny inside and double the weight behind transom ,,,
kinda defeats the purpose of the better handling single
saw on FB a complete imco -3 extreme drive for 7,500
I have a bud with trip 42 with 1350s on them drives and not breaking them

X2, bulletproof drive and 900hp would be a great package!

That was Kirk's boat and I remember he never did get it dialed in. Unfortunately, all his posts have vanished from this site for some reason.

Neither did Artie, but the Konrad puts the trans in the extension box, so the drive, and the engine are back further. Artie's was compounded by the fact he moved the fuel tank back
