Scott,
I might needs some coaching to run with these guys. What are you running for power. I hate to say it but Bruce might be correct in his assumption that a bigger boat will have an advantage in AC. Ill keep my fingers crossed for calm water.

Bruce and myself have the same style race boat, and I for one had a 24 Jaws and a 24 Pantera at one point. The ride is a big diffrence when you are out their. However, Scott, on his 24 can give anyone a scare because he has been racing for a while now and has plenty of seat time. And about keeping your fingers crossed, stay away from that approach to a race course that could be bumpy good luck to you and be safe.

And although I have never seen him race, from what I have heard, its sounds like he is not skeered to run that thing!!!

Baja, There is no question that we are at a disadvantage in the rough, not because our boats can't handle it( I raced in Daytona 2000) in really big water.
My problem is when the prop is in the air, the boat is losing speed.
In rough water I seem to be in the air twice as much as the bigger boats.
That being said, I am going to AC to win.
PS 502 Crate motor and a couple hundred pound of lead in the boat to try to keep it in the water.
A little big water practice never hurts
