Why aren't you using a Bravo 4blade?
Who's got experience w/ them?

We have GPS the 24' model in the past with a stock HP 500 Mercruiser carburated at 81.7 MPH with a stock 4 blade prop.

With a 496 HO - 425 HP Merc. GPS speeds are at 77 MPH on GPS.

I have ran the 24' model over 100 MPH with a 850 HP motor and have quite a few running well into the 90s on GPS with appoximately 650 - 700 HP.

The Driver and boat set up are very important while running these high speeds.

Stormrider your 24' does not have the 110 s model K - Planes it has the 150s model which have hydraulic pumps not Electric motors like the 110s model.

Put the 24' Pantera model out in 4-6 footers and it will show what this boat is really built for. It is all about Rough water handling.

Thanks, I saw somewhere that the std mirage turns more rpm's and have found that the Plus acts like 1"bigger pitch

Storm, I have used both the Mirage+ and the Bravo1 and without writing a novel I would say they both are good but in different areas. The B1 comes out of the hole VERY fast without much throttle and will plane at slow speeds even with a full boat 4adults and 4 kids, Great for watersports too. On top I found the labbed B1 almost the same as the stock M+. The M+ makes the boat feel lighter and requires less trim adjustments, the hull is happy at neutral trim from 40 to 65 the B1 will want progressively more trim through this range or the 4 blade will start to lift the transom too much. I was never a big fan of small diameter props on the pantera but the Mirage+ feels like it has 15" diameter or more.

Jo, thanks for clarifying that... I could never remember which I had, you never see them. Also, what pitch B1 did you run on that HP500.

Ironman, so what are you currently running.
I've been told the B1 will add some mph midrange, which would be a big bonus to me, since that is where I spend 90%+ of my time.

Jo, this yr I will get out into the ocean to find out... looking forward.
I'd also like to get my cruising speed to 50-55mph. Shouldn't be much of a prob.
If the boat breaks 80, I'll make sure to wear my depends w/ my lifejacket.

Holy Crap!
Vary few of us are professionals...
Hey Jo,
Have you tried a 5 blade on a 24' yet?
Matt at Throttle Up told me that with more blades in the water, most boats are more stable...
