Re: How many Panteras???
I have a question along the same lines. Have you kept track of the boats you have built? and is there a way that you know of, to get the boats history, as far as how many owners, where it's been, has it sunk before, things of that nature. I know I would really like to know the history of my boat, the guy I bought it off of really didn't know too much about it.

Post some pics of the boat. Depending on how old it is where its been, there is a good chance some one will have some info on it.
Btw, you'll have to buy a membership to post pics.

Griff I have pics on my camera but I my download program is screwed up, but until then it is on the pantera website, owners gallery, 3rd page, white with a pink and blue stripe, 81 24se, chris miller rancho cucamonga. maybe if you saw it you might know something about it, I know one thing is that it has been on the west coast here for at least 5-6 years. Thats as long as the previous owner and I have had it. Before that I don't know jack about it.

Hi Craney,
Back in the late 70s and early 80s Pantera was building ( 2 ) 24s complete every week and a new 28' every 2 weeks.Do not have an exact number right now without checking but it is ALOT. It is incredible that every Pantera boat delivered has some type of Memory about it to us. My Father can be asked about a speific boat that was delivered 30 years ago and he most likely remember something about it. I am the same with the Pantera's from the mid 80s on.
The 24' being dropped into the water was Pantera # 001. My Father and Mother built it on their own.My Father asked the crane operator to drop it in slowly so he can make sure it would float OK.
Regards,
Jo
