This sounds like it's really getting complicated to launch the boat and find a place to keep the truck and trailer.
Sarasota seemed so................. convienient?????????

Let's wait and see, I'm gonna have to rethink this one.

I talked to Bill of Poker Runs America today. He said use Salty Sams or Lover's Key. They have a place across the street from Salty Sams for secured trailer storage. Lover's Key is about 6 miles from the Pink Shell. We sent in our application today. Ready

Bob got any room on your boat if I fly down for the run?
There is also a ramp at Page racing on McGregor right by Gulf Harbor.
Wildman - Aren't you the guy who was anxious to help out with the gas bill? If so, I might have room on my boat (43 Nor-Tech). So far, we just have three and can handle 6 to 8 (depending on how long the legs involved are.

The CC Yacht Club ramp is great, and they have pull-through parking for at least eight or 10 trucks. It will take you about a half hour to idle to the Sanibel Bridge from there. Big caution, though: There are two ramps. The one on the left as you are looking down the ramp is quite shallow, even at high tide. Only use the "upriver" ramp.

I will check on the flights to Ft Myers. I will fly in Thursday night and stay at my house in Cape Coral. Where are you at in Cape Coral I am off Country Club Blvd? Also the ramp on the left is the up river side are you should you stated that correctly. Talk with you later.

Oops, yeah, I guess I got turned around. Just remember to use the right-hand ramp (as viewed looking from land to the river). It is easier to make the turn to that ramp, anyway.
I live on the Rubicon Canal at the corner of 36th Street and 10th Place in the Cape. I haven't had this house very long and I still don't have a boat lift, so my boat lives on its trailer at another house I own near Santa Barbara and 19th Street.
My email addy is: [email protected]
and my cell phone is: 901-233-1665. I travel for a living and won't be in a place where my phone works for a couple of weeks, but my email works at pretty much avery hotel I stay at.

Down to 11 rooms left at the Pink Shell - Up to 40 entries received.
Get out your best boating clothes for this run, we added an extra trophy for "Best Dressed Crew" - Maybe next year we'll have best "undressed crew"

Captnate,
I will be bringing her up by trailer and I am staying in Ft.Myers at the Pink, for at least Friday night even though I have the room for 2 nights.
It all sounds a little crazy now with docking, launching, parking, traffic,???????????

I might as well run the boat up but I will never have enough fuel to run her up and do the run,never-mind get home.

I will figure it out and I WILL BE THERE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!!

And I am supposed to be flying in Friday morning, probably changing that tonight to get there on Thursday.

Not too crazy now - plenty of parking for rigs at both Lovers and Salty Sam's.
Docks at The Bridge, Salty's and Snug.
