I am tossing the idea of doing (promoting) a Center Console Poker Run event and I am looking for ideas that would be fun - This would be an affordable event with fishing prizes and wouldn't require a FAST boat. Do you thing it would be received well in Florida? The cost would be around $150 and we would have five stops at five restaurants in the Daytona Beach area. We are looking for sponsors and will do a safe boating demo wit the local authorities. THANK for any ideas, feedback or participation.

I would be interested. I am limited to the runs I am able to do because my boat is not very fast. I do enjoy some of the fun runs and people you meet.

What would you pay to attend the event -

We are thinking of doing a safety demo that would entail sinking a boat and or blowing it up (might be a fake boom) so we can save the two or three dummies (looking for some dummies too) - This would be arranged with the local authorities. We would also give some the participants fishing prizes and manufactures demo gifts.

This entire event will be geared toward water ski and fishing buffs with a Poker run "wind in the face" feel.

Price mentioned seems fair. It would also depend on the cost of lodging and prefferably a location we can keep boats in the water. I would pay more if we can use my wife as one of the dummies being blown up.

(I know I will not feel that way in a few days but I do now )
