Top Gun, make sure you tell them that you are with the RPBA to get the special room rate and on the same block of rooms.

So, you are going to need to change up a bit.

The Renaissance in Portsmouth is 90 miles (by water) from the start of the Poker Run.

Friday night, you want to stay near the start of the Poker Run.
Saturday morning, the PR starts outside of Richmond, VA at Jordan Point. You will want to find a hotel for Friday night in or near Hopewell, VA. There is a captain's meeting at Jordan Point on Friday night and Saturday morning. You only have to attend one of the two.
http://www.jordanpoint.com/

Saturday night, we all end up at the Renaissance in Portsmouth. The PR is essentially just shy of 100 miles ONE WAY on Saturday. On Sunday, you make your way back up the river back to your trailers/ports at your own pace.

Look up Hopewell and Portsmouth VA on the map, and you will see what I am talking about.

**** There are some attendees that get up at dawn, and go UP the James River from Portsmouth on Saturday Morning, to Hopewell/Jordan Point. These are normally the folks that live in Portsmouth (surrounding) though; or folks that want to depart to go home from Portsmouth on Sunday. *****
