Default Spring time Boating events??

I've done all my boating here in Michigan. I'm looking to get the boat in the water early this year and would like to put it on the trailer and head somewhere warm before the season really gets into swing here in MI.

Anyone got recommendations for events with-in about 800 miles of me? Things start hopping around here in mid June, so anything earlier than that would be great. I don't know if Lake of the Ozarks gets warm any earlier but I would guess lake Cummberland would.

Any thoughts?

I made a trip to Lake Norman 1 1/2 years ago, the first week of March and it was 80* and sunny! Just bought the boat and was anxious. Water was a bit low but, no problems.

Great place w/great people.
