Where is the event course located?

Will there be a spectator raft-off area available?

Thanks
Due

The event course will be in Galveston Bay along the protected shoreline just south of Clear Lake, outside the Kemah Inlet.(about 30 minutes south of Houston)
Spectators will have a raft-off area along the east side of the course. Safety boats and personnel will be stationed along the west side between the course boundaries and the shoreline.
Spectators on land with have excellent viewing from the San Leon county park, which will also be utilized for the marine patrol emergency dock and egress ramp access.

pbam22,

Yes, this is the same weekend as Tickfaw.
Charlie hosts a great run in LA! (I've enjoyed it the last 3 years myself.)

The Texas Outlaw Challenge event features a new opportunity for a specific high performance boater interest. This event provides opportunity for an extreme boating experience that requires closed course controls and paramount attention to safety. Manufacturer challenges, State show-downs, and individual horsepower rivalry also add unique atmosphere to this event...plus the Gambler Run activity gives all levels of performance boaters an opportunity to support this charity funding weekend!

The Clear Lake area also features first class amenities, a unique Boardwalk water front experience, and of course good old Texas hospitality!
In addition, the date selected supports individuals and teams who have travelled west to Desert Storm the previous week, an opportunity to break up the return trip and participate in this Texas event.

Like the event invitation says: "Y'all come on down and Mess with Texas...We Dare You!

I saw 3 or 4 boats come back to TX after that ticfaw run and from what I heard it was a minefield out there....

How many boats for the Outlaw so far?

The Outlaw Challenge event has really stirred up national interest!!
We have some "killer boats" dropping in on their Desert Storm return, Chicago is in, New Jersey is mounting an assault, looks like Florida may field multiple teams and individual boats, Miss Geico has made contact, "Team Canada" is sending threats, Tennessee is coming to fight, and believe me TEXAS is ready with enough race fuel to go around!
