11th Annual Leukemia Poker Run
The Leukemia Luau is set for June 20 – 22, 2008
NEW THIS YEAR Saturday Lunch and Dinner included in the registration fee
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL BOATS.
We are leaving in waves to accommodate everyone on the event. We will have Trawlers, Cruisers, Performance Cruisers, Performance Boats and who knows maybe even Dave Robinson will bring his jet ski.
CA$H PRIZES
Friday June 20 7:00 -11:00 p.m.
This year will begin with a Luau kickoff registration party and auction at the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott. Many have asked for an Island Formal again and others prefer Island casual attire.
NO Shoes, No Shirts, No Problem… Just NO Pirates!
This is open to the public so be sure to invite your co-workers, friends, and neighbors to help us raise money for the Leukemia Society of Maryland
We plan to have many auction items available this year as well as lots of fun and possibly a pitcher of Beam and Coke for those that dare. This year’s event will also have some challenges to earn extra hands to be played at the finale party. These will only be available at the Friday night Luau kickoff only so you don’t want to miss out.
There are also going to be trivia contest so brush up on your history of Pearl Harbor, and the famous TV shows that were based in Hawaii for your chance to win prizes and extra cards and hands.

In tropical sea is a tropic port, Vacation fun is the favorite sport.
This is the place where the tourists flock, Renting the boats at the busy dock.
Two secretaries from U-S-A, Sail on the Minnow this lovely day.
A high school teacher is next aboard, all taking trip that they can not afford.
The next two people are millionaires, they got no worries, and they got no cares. They climb aboard and they step inside, with just enough bags for a six-hour ride.

Speaking to TV Trivia did I mention that we plan to have a TV celebrity join us on Friday Night? No not Don Johnson!
Saturday June 21st 10:30 a.m. - 12:30ish p.m.
We are starting at Thursday’s with registration, lunch, Captains meeting, and several surprises for everyone.
Menu includes Prime Rib Sandwich, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Wings, and assorted salads
Next Stop is Solomon’s Island TIKI Bar for a card stop and group gathering
The Final Stop for Saturday is at Vera’s White Sands. This is our destination for Saturday. There is going to be a beach party, dancing, and dinner at this stop. All you can eat Hot dogs and Hamburgers and assorted salads.

Sunday June 22nd The Crack of NOON - 4:00ish p.m.
We are off to Skippers Pier for a card stop and then off to Gates Marina for our Finale party. Luau Pig, BBQ Chicken, Cole Slaw, BBQ baked beans, Pasta Salad, Cucumbers & onions in sweet vinegar
There are a couple of changes to this year’s poker run. Saturday’s lunch and dinner are now included in the cost of the event.
We have 25 hotel rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn in Solomon’s Island for a rate of $119.00 per night plus 11% tax. These are first come first served based on when your reservation is received.
Slips are available at Vera’s please not that you need a slip on your registration form.
Slips at the Holiday Inn are on your own.
The co$t of the event:
Poker Run Captain: (Required for all boats running on this event) $175
Includes (Boat registration and event decal, 2 tickets to the Friday night Luau Kickoff, 1 Lunch Ticket, 1 Dinner Ticket, 1 Grand Finale Luau ticket, 1 Poker Hand, Captain’s Goody Bag with Signature Gift, and eligibility for fund raising)
Poker Run Crew: Required for everyone on board your boat (Children 12 and under free) $70
(1 tickets to the Friday night Luau Kickoff, 1 Lunch Ticket, 1 Dinner Ticket, 1 Grand Finale Luau ticket, and eligibility for fund raising).
Luau Kickoff Party at Annapolis Waterfront Marriott: (Included with Captain or Crew package) $10 in advance $15 at the door
(This is open to the public and is a fund raising event. Please invite your neighbors and friends for a fun filled evening)
Grand Finale Luau ticket only at Gates Marina: (This is included in Captain Package, Meal included in Crew Package) This is open to the public so be sure to invite your friends to join us for a fun filled afternoon. Pool party, music, Luau and awards ceremony. This includes (1 Poker Hand, 1 meal ticket) $65 No at the door for the meal.
