Hey Warren - what day are y'all leaving? We're thinking about going now.
For anyone else - am I going to get the chit beat out of me in a 30' boat?

Oh, and be careful if you try to go out of East Pass into the Gulf.

The bay is normally fine as is the gulf its just trying to go out the east pass is the kicker some good rollers come through there.
The bay the average is calm or 1-2ft chops unless theres a storm.

Sweet, thanks for the info Croozin and Wodster! It sounds like the water conditions I’m used to in Clear Lake/Galveston Bay/Houston Ship Channel. The main difference is that the water here has about 6” of visibility on a good day, it’s nasty!
Warren - is Eddie coming and bringing the 40' too? What day are y'all leaving.

Yeah, huge difference. In Destin, in 20' of water, you can see the shadow of your boat on the sandy bottom. The aerial photos and video are too cool.

Yeah, that always scares the chit out of me because I always think I'm going to hit something because I'm not used to being able to see the bottom. I have seen it a couple of times when we've been to Bimini and Havasu and after you get used to it, it's very cool!
