Looking forward to a great time at lake Norman. I've never been there before. I'm going to bring a 35 cig instead of the 46 Skater. After reading the negative post on this thread I feel I'll have a better chance making it out of town without making somebody mad. PRA puts great runs together and the best part of this run will be taking Make A Wish kids out for a ride on Friday aftrenoon. Have a great weekend!!! Jim

Vagrant mentioned a spot near Little Creek: "...a small bouyed sand bar on your right if you head to littles....
...the closest marker is "M1" The sand bar is marked with 3 floating markers. That should be a awesome place and safe."
Sounds really good. Also wondering if there might be more overlap of action up north of the 150 bridge. Any suggestions? All us non-participants should gather and hang.

[QUOTE=socalstone;2686918]Agreed and ditto that. Don't need waypoints.
Just want to find a good place to hang that isn't in the way.
SoCal,
I found the very info you were looking for. This post from LKNFuns site explains exactly where you need to go if you want to make sure you are out of the way.
Poker Runs of America Poker Run Sat, September 20
That's right the worlds largest Poker Run Association is bringing close to 40 of the Biggest, Baddest Boats in the Country for a Poker Run. Saturday’s run on Lake Norman will see some of the very hottest and biggest V-bottoms and cats in all of North America. After the run, we’ll party at Midtown Sundries on the water and determine the first winner of Poker Runs America’s Lake Norman Poker Run where one lucky participant will cart away several thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. If you plan on watching from the Water, be sure to stay to the side, these boats move pretty fast, but don't worry, “Safety is our main concern,” says Bill Taylor, President of Poker Runs America," and this APRA sanctioned event has been specially designed to be ideal for the waters of Lake Norman
Since every LKN boater & fisherman check this site for safety updates daily I have every confidence that they will get the "stay to the side" message!
PS- please don't ask me which side as I don't want to be responsible for providing an inaccurate response!
