Randy, most everyone rafts up in the middle of the river right off the Base. Its a great show, especially watching it by water.

as far as where to launch ... theres a good ramp at Goodby's creek directly across the river from the base. I assume it will be PACKED and you may have a parking issue if you dont get there early.

if your looking at a map its located on San Jose Blvd. ( SR13 ) going north JUST before Baymeadows rd. on the right.

I was thinking about putting in the water somewhere south and running up the river to NAS JAX. Any ideas?

I am coming up from the south near Ocala....just trying to put a plan together......

well it depends how far south you want to be... A good option is the green cove springs ramp on us17 just north of sr16 where it crosses the river. Good ramp and good parking. That would be a nice short cruise up to the base.

Anyone have links to these ramps so I can load them in the Truck GPS?

I am still planning on making this event....just need "more" planning :}

Looks like Green Cove Springs is the IDEAL ramp for me coming from the south, does anyone have PERSONAL intel about this ramp?

theres actually 2 ramps in green cove ... i suggest putting in at the mouth of Black creek .

Nice long ramp and good parking. you shouldnt have any issues at all. but again, remember all the ramps will likely be packed that day.
