Exactly!

I think Chad1 was probably looking at the website and Charlie never updates that thing. It says 2009 Tickfaw Poker Run but the map is from year 2003 or something (pre Katrina).

Correct, check the link below. It has the current stops on it. Basically, you spend all day in Madisonville. If this run wasn't the kickoff to the boating season I would be much less enthusiastic about making the run. Really not much to it anymore.

I do it because its local, its cheap, and to get to see all the hardware. But yeah, its basically turned into a run to Madisonville and back.

Hell maybe I should just stop buying hands. Get out in the Lake early to see all the boats running across to Blind River, then go tie up in Madisonville to see the sites. After that, bring the boat home and drive the truck over to Charlies. Spend the extra $100 on drinks....

We have a group coming down from Nashville with some big boats. How many miles is the run now? We like to do alot of running and it sounds like (from these posts) that you might run 100 miles. Also sounds like docking is a problem. Any input would be appreciated. Hate to travel so far and end up dealing with problems.

The run has been shortened thanks to Hurricane Katrina. Charlie really should attempt to add some stops if it's at all possible. That being said, you can take it upon yourself to make a run across to the south shore and see New Orleans etc. Plenty of room to run, just not part of the Poker Run.

As far as docking, I think there was only really one negative post about docking in this thread. There are usually quite a few high-dollar boats in attendance and I haven't heard of anyone having problems. I live on the Tickfaw River so if you need any further info don't hesitate to PM or email me.
